CO-OP EXPERIENCES
Students must be at least 16 years old. Certain cases require students to be 17.
Co-ops are paid work experiences meant to match students with jobs that require specific skills that have been learned during high school. Some examples of co-op experiences include carpentry, computer programming, machining, landscaping, and general business. Students must demonstrate proficiency in the coursework that prepares them for a co-op job.
As with CEIP and GEWEP, the co-op experiences may take place during early release but may also be completed in part after the school day. Early release is an essential component of the co-op. Students participating in a co-op must take the Work Experience class, part 1 & 2.
